It has 8 AC Chair Class coaches along with 2 EOG cars. Effective December 2013, Western Railways has introduced AC 2 tier & AC 3 tier coaches on the Yuva Express.Now it has 6 coaches of AC 3 Tier and 2 coaches of AC 2 Tier

Service
The 12247 Hazrat Nizamuddin Yuva Express covers the distance of 1366 kilometres in 16 hours 50 mins (81.15 km/hr), and in 17 hours 40 mins as 12248 Bandra Terminus Yuva Express (77.32 km/hr).

Traction
The route is fully electrified. Prior to Western Railway switching to the AC traction, it would be hauled by a WCAM 2/2P engine until Vadodara Junction after which it would get either a WAP 7 locomotive from Ghaziabad shed or a WAP 4 from the Vadodara shed.
Since Western Railway switched over to AC traction in February 2012, it is hauled by a WAP 7 locomotive from Ghaziabad shed, or a WAP 4 / WAP 5 from the Vadodara shed.
